spring snow is the best

if you have to have snow at all. what i mean is, we woke up to about 4 inches of pure slushy snow. the flowers were all face down, and the mountains were like a super thick birthday cake. at 4:30 this afternoon, there is hardly a skiff on the ground. the air looks clean and fresh, and the boys can enjoy being outside.

during winter, a 4 inch snowfall would hang around for a couple of days at least. during the spring, it's got a lifespan of about 8 hours. that is wonderful.

the only downside? snow. i have to keep reminding myself that it is ONLY april, and that it is quite common to experience plenty of snowfall. and given that we have had such a mild winter, we should expect a lot more snow than what we have. so that part does suck.

but the quick melt method of precipitation is lovely.
