on reading....and being sick....

if you know me, you know i'm a follower. okay, wait. if you know me, you know that probably isn't true. if you don't know me, then why would you be reading this blog. i know, it's because i'm so dang interesting....

ah back to the point. i'm a person who really doesn't like to follow but ends up doing it anyway. i take my kids to disney movies. 'nuff said.

so when the whole vampire novel twilight thing came out, besides the fact that my niece totally introduced me to the books EONS before they got way popular. (when i actually stole them from her and read them...well, i wouldn't say i was hooked, because i wasn't, but i sort of was.) i felt like i was following the crowd. i totally decided i was never going to like them. i would pick them apart for every flaw (which they had many of) and protest the claim that they were going to bump mr. potter for the top spot on "gotta have it, best seller books". but this teensy tiny voice inside my head told me that i loved the books. that they were just so much fun. that the characters were so good. and that i'd probably totally be all over mangy dogs.

when the 4th novel came out this last weekend, i figured i'd give myself a couple of weeks before i even borrowed it. i could read it and give it back to my crazy niece. i'd know the end of the story and be happy. finished, the end. no problem, right?

i got a phone call early-ish on saturday morning. my sister (who is like the best librarian ever) totally put my name on the list for the hold list. and she totally did it in february, so i was close to the top ( i might have even been the top, like i was for harry potter...). i had conveniently got sick this past weekend too. it's like all my plans and the planets lined up nicely...don't you thing?

so not only have i been sick, i almost think i could have pneumonia here, i have been reading about if bella turns vampire, or who she chooses..aka team edward or jacob.

and now i know!

so i could spill it here for all you slow readers who actually had a life this weekend......

but i won't.

because the ending is that good.

or is it?

bwahahahahahahahahahah (done in my best impression of a romanian vampire)

Dude, if you spill I'm gonna fly to Utah and poke you in the eye! I had to stop at the Jacob chapter and wait for Natalia to catch up so we could cry together.....your rotten, tell me nothing...no matter how hard I beg and plead....and cry.

oh, i got so nervous for a minute that you were gonna say the ending. phew! i'm a nerd and totally love those books. i even made joey read them and he said they were good if you don't mind wading through a lot of mush. and i don't! i haven't even started the 4th book though. maybe i should have a sister librarian and get sick. hmmmm..
